It’s been a busy sort of time what with various things going on, including regular visits to a London hospital where my Dad is in a pretty serious condition, though each day there are improvements and he is generally stable. I think the visits to the hospital will go on for some weeks. So I haven’t been blogging so much, as you may know, and also there come points where there is nothing to say, and better indeed to say nothing, because nothing is everything and has no need for words!
I like this quote:
“Those who know do not talk, those who talk do not know.” – Lao Tzu
“The only true wisdom, is that you know nothing” – Socrates
“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.” Mark Twain. (That’s funny)
And this one’s pretty right on too:
“Most people talk too much. And what they do say is mostly noise or general gibberish designed to keep themselves entertained.” Stuart Wilde (So true!)
So, basically it’s best to shut up rather than talk (or write) for the sake of it!
Anyway, here are just a few lines I jotted down from Tony Parson’s last talk:
“The me can only live in what will be.”
“Attachment only arises for the fantasy of me.”
“No meaning or purpose is freedom” (This one will get a few going!)
“Eckhart Tolle is wholeness arising as a teacher that teaches confusion.” (Haha)
“What’s left is unknowing.”
“Separate reality collapses and what is left is natural reality.”
It seems to me that some pretty challenging life events or circumstances are often the order of the day for the me-story to even be recognized – at which point the collapse can start. Most people are playing the character but not realizing they’re acting out the whole thing. Romeo definitely thinks he’s Romeo! It’s pointless to try to convince. In fact better to simply have fun with the characters – that’s just as much wholeness as spending efforts to try to uncover the me-story.
I guess that’s what I’ve been doing. Just enjoying the play of life and it’s myriad manifestations. I’ve been listening to a lot of music also – unlike the last few years of basically silence! I found an old tape recorder and tapes – yeehah. Maybe I’ll do a blog post about some of the songs.
So, how have you been? What’s the news or views? (as I always say to my kids…:-) ) Do share in the comments if you feel so inclined.
Btw, I can tell you that I do not for a moment miss blogging about and keeping all that 2012 / Illuminati conversation going. When the addiction ends, there’s no going back. In January 2013 I’ll still be here blogging, and you’ll still be there logging in…imho.
It seems to me that the shedding of all these blog topics is like the shedding of the me-story. In the end you’re left with absolutely nothing – and everything. And so be it!
(Only thing with that is that I gotta come up with some more cool topics to blog about, or I’ll have a blog about nothing and it will have no content!!)
Thanks for reading.
